Top 5 Reasons to upgrade to SharePoint 2013
Without a doubt there are some great new features in SharePoint 2013 for the end user, so I thought I would take some time to highlight the top 5 in my opinion and share them with you via a video which you can see below. In this short session I will be covering the topics below. Don’t forget as well as an on premise install of SharePoint 2013 all of the features I will show you are also available on the new Office 365.
- Videos
- Embedding
- File Handling
- Drag and Drop
- Delete
- Illegal Characters
- Preview web apps
- Search
I am always keen to hear others opinions as well so feel free to comment and give us your best features of SharePoint 2013.

Dave, good list of end user enhancements. One thing I would add here is the automation around personalization. So much about this new version is about refining and personalizing the end user experience. If you have tasks assigned, due dates you need to be aware of, workflow activities that are assigned to you — the UI presents you with this information the next time you log into SharePoint so that you can quickly get a preview of critical path items, and then take action. I love that. And the whole experience translates well into mobile/tablet formats.

Hi Christian
That was certainly in my top ten but I will take a deeper look and wonder if this could be used in an educational context i.e. Assign work as a task etc.
